Ray on Mooseport

Hello everyone.
Just got back from Toronto where we wrapped the Mooseport movie. It was a tough last couple weeks with a string of 18 hr days. I don't know how it's all gonna turn out. Some of the scenes I saw that they edited together looked pretty good. Gene Hackman was great. The whole cast was great.

One story.
The first night of the movie we all went out to dinner. Cast and producers etc., about thirty of us. At the table the director asked me to say a toast. I had just met most of these people and was to nervous to try and be funny or intelligent or whatever. I just didn't want to do it.

They all coaxed me to say something, and wouldn't shut up, so I picked up my glass and said "Um, I just want to say that, this is my first major film, ..."
and from the othe end of the table Gene Hackman quietly says "Holy Shit."

Big laugh.

They say the movie is tentatively set to come out in February, so that's where my movie career either begins or ends.

Actually "Eulogy " which is the independent film I did this Spring is being screened this
week, but I'm just part of a large ensemble cast, so they can't blame me totally if it tanks. That's set to come out in October. I saw a rough cut of it a few weeks ago, and it's kinda funny and edgy. (I think.)

Who knows.

The fact that they let me in a movie with Gene Hackman has left me with no faith in show buisness, so we'll have to wait and see.

Right now I'm with the "Raymond " writers as we prepare for what could be our last season. We film the first show the second week of August.

I'll try to post some pics of me with Gene Hackman to prove that it really happened.

Have a good summer.
