The Emmy angst continues.

Hello everyone, Ray here.
Well it's Emmy week. Actually it's Thursday, three days before the show. My parents are in town for the Emmys, and my father has a speaking part in this weeks show. Look for him in the fifth episode, in the scene in the steam room. He's not wearing anything except a towel, so don't look too close.

I'm filming the whole experience with him for the site, so look for it in a few days. Some of you have commented on me not answering questions enough on the site and I know, but I hardly get a minute to do anything once the season starts, and when I do, i like to put together a video for the site. But I'll try and answer whenever I can.

As for the damn Emmys...
I've said before, I don't need to win, and I still stand by that. I also said that if I have a funny acceptance speech prepared then I maybe want to win just so it doesn't go to waste. Now I have another dilemma. I'm presenting for best variety/talk show, and I have to prepare some funny bit for that. So now I'm neurotically trying to come up with something. Last year Patty and I presented and we did what I thought was a funny bit, but now it's just me up there and I'm expected to be funny and I don't need the pressure.

Why did I agree to do it? Because I'm a stupid insecure comedian who constantly needs to perform and be validated and my father never hugged me, and all that psychological crap. Not to mention the great gift basket.

I've been working on a few ideas. As a matter of fact, the writers and I went out to lunch with Garry Shandling the other day and he was helping me with mine and we were helping him with his. He's presenting also.

So far I've come up with some bit about my parents being in the audience, but i don't know if it's funny, and I don't know if I'm gonna do it, and then what if I win, I need something funny for that.

Oh man, I don't wanna win. Well I do , but I don't , but damn it I do! I don't!

Anyway, wish me luck.

Ray

P.S. Don't forget one hour premeire on Monday, and the AOL chat at 830 EST.
