Queens still loves Raymond
To his old pals, TV's highest-paid star is just Ray from Queens

What's $40 million among friends?
Queens guy Ray Romano will bank close to $1.7 million an episode during the eighth season of his CBS sitcom, "Everybody Loves Raymond."
He's the highest-paid star on television, earning about $100,000 more a week than "Frasier's" Kelsey Grammer for his family comedy set on Long Island.
But the people who knew him growing up say Romano has skipped the star trip. He plays a regular guy on TV, and it works because he really is a regular guy.
He's just Raymond from the block.
